Speaking of the Homeless

I've been purchasing the Streetsense newspaper for the homeless in D.C. over a year now and have made a very good acquaintance with Jeffery McNeil, a homeless man and vendor of the newspaper.

I think his article reflects a very refreshing and open perspective about the poor and homeless while revealing his own downfall and realization of promise for himself. His articles are the ones I read the most.

Checkout his article --> http://www.streetsense.org/2012/08/fightinghomelessness/

Def wanted to share. Be Encouraged.

Musiq Monday: I Hit The Drum and Got Kicked (technically Wednesday lol)

I know it has been a long minute yall but I had to post something, finally. It aint much but gotta get my spark back and we have missed a lot so I aint gonna try to catch up but just simply keep it moving I have been recently engaged to my long time friend, previously girlfriend and now the queen of my world, so yall have to pardon the hiatus and short list of songs. I have some relationship building to do

"The World is a Ghetto" feat. BJ The Chicago Kid & Kendrick Lamar >> Lovin the collaboration pieces from these two! Deep inspiring messages but still just hip hop. FEELIN IT.

"Around the Way" feat. Lupe Fiasco >> definitely a dope remix buuuuuut, homie kinda of ig'ed the Legendary Pete Rock in remaking the classic legendary hip hop single, T.R.O.Y., Nonetheless... it's still good hip hop!! FEELIN IT.

“Apple Pie” Nico Segal & Greg Landfair Jr. (of Kids These Days) feat. GLC & The O’My’s >> Smooth lil joint from the G.O.O.D. artist GLC and others cats that have been around a lil while.

“From the Soul” Amiri feat. Bootie Brown of The Pharcyde (Throwback Remix) >> loving this joint. pretty soul and wait a minute, a member of The Pharcyde? Say Word? Yeah this what I get for sleeping on the music lately....FEELIN IT.

Musiq Monday: Scratch that, Time to TURN the TABLE

"Don't Say Goodbye" feat. Big Pooh, Donny Goines, Raven Sorvino >> Rapper Big Pooh has still been on my radar and doing his thing wit this latest cut. His last album, Dirty Pretty Things was not bad at all I must say.

"Lost on Repeat" feat Lyric Jones and Esperanza Spalding >> I don't know who Lyric Jones exactly is but this joint is pretty hot ....and I am a HUGE fan of Esperanza. Her album, Junjo is GREAT!!! I jam to all the time to get through the work day or chill at home. A GREAT timeless authentic jazz album.

Jean Grae - U & ME & Everyone, We Know by M-phazes "U & Me & Everthing" feat. Jean Grae >> Yes. I still always got love for Jean Greezie! Smooth cut for sho'! FEELIN IT!

"Nine 2 Five" feat. The Slakadeliqs and Tingsek >> This from the infamously talented Canadian musician and producer, Slakah the Beatchild. Everything this brotha has touched musically has been great and the album from which the song is from doesn't fall short of this man's talent. Def support if you are willing and able. It is a "pay what you feel" EP. FEELIN IT!

The SHHO x Michael Millions - MICHAEL (Album) by MichaelMillions Showin' my homeboys from my hometown, Richmond VA, some love once again. Brother duo, Mike Millions and NameBrand created another banga. All production done by NameBrand. Def worth a listen. Too cool that I personally know these cats and they reppin them MHS Lancers, chyeah! Couple of my favorite joints from their FreEp is "Survive" and "Doin My Job" with Nickelus F. FEELIN IT!

"His Pain" feat. Kendrick Lamar and The Chicago Kid >> The infamous Kendrick Lamar coming with a deep one. Just listen. FEELIN IT!
